Saturday 2nd July - Ellesmere Port Tournament

We entered one team in this tournament and, for once, the weather was kind to us as it was a nice, hot sunny day. The tournament was well organised and we played 8 games in total before being knocked out in the quarter finals on penalties. Our squad was: Tom, Adam, Callum, Matty, Matthew, Lewis, Levi, Macca, Danny, Keaton.

Our results were: v Glenavon A won 2-0 (Lewis, Levi); v Ellesmere Port Rovers A lost 2-1 (Matty); v Ellesmere Port Rangers A drew 0-0; v Hope Farm Hotspurs drew 0-0; v Prestwich drew 0-0; v Princes Villa Colts drew 0-0; v Vauxhall Reds drew 0-0; Quarter Final drew 0-0 aet, lost 3-2 on penalties (Adam, Callum, Tom saved one).

Saturday 25th June - Cheshire Blades Tournament, Nantwich

We entered one team in this tournament as not all our players were available. The squad was: Alex, Adam, Jack, Lewis, Jordan, Levi, Macca, Matthew and Liam. Although we didn’t manage to progress to the semi-final stage, the boys did really well and are starting to come together nicely as a team.

Our results were: v Ruskin won 1-0 (Matthew); v Betley lost 2-1 (Jordan); v Madeley lost 3-0; v Cheshire Blades Nantwich drew 0-0, won 2-1 on pens (Adam, Lewis); v Betley B drew 0-0, lost 3-2 on pens (Adam, Macca); v C B Alsager drew 0-0, won 1-0 on pens (Levi); v Nantwich lost 1-0.

Sunday 19th June - Broadheath Central Tournament, Altrincham

We entered one team in this tournament. On arriving we found that one of our opponents had dropped out giving us only four group games but at 12 minutes each they were a decent length of time to give everyone a game. We won one game convincingly, drew another that we should really have won and lost two other games. In the end we just missed out on a semi-final place.

Our squad was: Alex, Callum, Adam, Jordan, Matty, Danny, Matt, Levi, Macca and Jack.

Results v Broadheath Vipers drew 0-0; v Prestwich lost 7-0; v Broadheath Adders won 4-1 (Levi (2), Jordan, Adam); v BOCA lost 1-0.

Sunday 5th June - Market Drayton Tournament

We again entered one team in this tournament, having entered teams several times previously we knew it was a tough tournament to do well in but the boys did us proud winning two, drawing two and losing two and were unlucky not to make it through to the next round.

Results v Bradwell Reds won 2-0 (Macca, Danny); v Up & Coming Reds lost 1-0; v Market Drayton drew 1-1 (Matt); v Madeley White Star lost 3-1 (Matty); v Alsager Town won 1-0 (Macca); v Sandbach Utd drew 0-0.

Sunday 22nd May - Sandbach United Tournament, Sandbach

We entered one team in this tournament, the first time the team had competed under the Brookfield Rangers banner. We did really well, only missing out on progressing to the next round on goal difference. Hopefully all the boys had a good day and we can look forward to another tournament in a couple of weeks.

Our results were: v Congleton Rovers lost 1-0; v Cheshire Blades, Alsager won 2-0 (own goal, Liam); v Sandbach United lost 1-0; v Egerton Lions lost 1-0.
