This is the news as reported during the season...
                            Monday 14th July
We’re taking part in a tournament at Audlem on Sunday. Further details will be posted about meeting arrangements once we’ve received the tournament information from the organisers.
Please note that there’s no training this week as a lot of the boys are unable to make it.
                            Saturday 5th July
We took part in a tournament at Audley, Stoke on Trent for the first time. We fielded two teams. Our yellow team did well, only losing two games and our blue team did even better, battling through to the semi-finals of the tournament only to cruelly lose on penalties even though Lewis S managed to save two of them. Let’s hope for better luck next time but a good day was had by all.
Unfortunately we weren’t allowed to take photo’s but there’s a few from after the football - click here

                            Tuesday 1st July
Sorry for the lack of recent updates due to holidays and my broken internet connection, it’s hopefully finally fixed now! We had some great news last Saturday when one of the two teams we entered reached the final of the Nantwich Tournament, they even had their runners-up medals presented by the mayor! Well done to all the boys on a magnificent achievement.
We are very pleased to have welcomed several new boys into our squad over the past couple of months and it’s been great to see them already getting on well with the rest of the team during the recent tournaments. Hopefully, each of the boys will formally register with us in the next few weeks so we can announce their arrival in style on the website!
At the start of June we took part in the Market Drayton tournament, entering two teams. This is a well run competition with a very high standard of teams entering, both our teams did well to get some good results but we didn’t progress to the next round.
On Saturday 5th July we are entering two teams in a tournament at Audley. This is a new competition for us and there will be a lot of new teams for us to play. Please meet in the car park of the Cheshire Cheese at 12.00 midday and we’ll drive there in convoy to ensure nobody gets lost!
Photo’s are now online for the recent tournaments, click the photo’s button on the left or the links below:

                            Saturday 24th May
We played our first 11-a-side friendly against Cheshire Blades this morning. It was a chance for all our new squad members to have a run out and for everyone to get used to the new rules and larger pitch. We did really well to win 1-0 with Ally getting another goal to add to his haul this season. One of our new boys Tom T was voted man of the match, well done Tom we hope you keep playing so well next season! We hope to arrange a few more friendlies before the new season starts.
                            Tuesday 20th May
Our league season drew to a close tonight with an exciting 3-3 draw against Alsager Panthers with our leading scorer Ally signing off with another hat trick. Our captain Tom D was named man of the match after another superb performance in midfield. We now have an 11-a-side friendly on Saturday to look forward to and several tournaments throughout the summer before we start again on full size pitches and as 11-a-side.
                            Friday 16th May
Tonight was the South Cheshire Youth League’s annual presentation evening. A good night was had by all. Each of our players received a trophy on the stage presented by Dario Gradi. Tom J was named as the club’s Player of the Year and received an additional trophy, well done TJ! Photo’s to follow...
                            Thursday 15th May
The boys went down 1-0 tonight to Stapeley Corinthians in what was a very tightly fought game that could have gone either way. Considering Stapeley have scored well over 100 goals this season it wasn’t a bad result. Eddie was named Man of the Match for another strong display in midfield. The win gave Stapeley the league title, congratulations to them.
                            Monday 12th May
The League have been up to their normal tricks again - our last two fixtures have now been rearranged! This Thursday’s match is now against Stapeley Corinthians at 6.45pm, whilst we no longer have a game on Sunday, this has been pushed back to the following Thursday, 22nd May. We believe the change may have been made as Stapeley need one more win to become U11 League Champions and presumably the League want to present the trophy to them at the awards night on Friday. They seem to have overlooked one point - we will be doing our utmost to wreck their plans and beat Stapeley, let’s hope we can do it!
                            Sunday 11th May
A fantastic win for the boys today as they defeated AFC Redstar 3-0, Ally was a hat-trick hero grabbing all three goals and the Man of the Match trophy too but it was another very good team performance.
                            Friday 9th May
A disappointing result tonight as we went down 2-0 to Crewe FC but we can take credit for a great team performance. Man of the match was Eddie, who had a great game in midfield and a couple of good chances to score.
                            Tuesday 6th May
Another great result for the boys tonight as they fought back from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Tarporley. This was a real team effort but the man of the match award went to Ben, who had a brilliant game in midfield.
Please note that Saturday’s game against Crewe FC has now been brought forward to Friday night, kick off around 6.30 at the Barony. Let’s hope we can get another good result.
                            Sunday 4th May
The boys got back to winning ways today with a stunning 8-0 victory over MG Juniors. There were six separate scorers including a hat-trick for our leading scorer Ally, who was also named as Man of the Match. Not only did Ally get a hat-trick but was unlucky to hit the post many times. Our next match is the rearranged fixture this coming Tuesday at the Barony against Tarporley.
                            Thursday 1st May
Our poor run continued with another defeat tonight as we lost 2-1 to Cheshire Blades with another very late goal deciding the match. Eddie was named as man of the match for a great display in midfield.
Please note that it is very likely some of our fixtures may be changing. Details will be confirmed on Sunday but we are likely to play Tarporley on Tuesday 6th May instead of 12th May (so we don’t have 3 matches in 3 days) and our Saturday fixture next week against Crewe FC may be brought forward to the Friday night 9th May (so coach Jason can attend). Full details will be confirmed as soon as the changes are finalised.
                            Friday 25th April
Another disappointing result today as we went down 2-1 to Crewe FC at McLaren Street after being 1-0 up for much of the match. Man of the match was Nathan who had a brilliant game in defence.
On a happier note, congratulations to our captain Tom D who has been named in the squad for the South Cheshire Youth League U11’s to travel to Holland in the summer for a week long tournament. Well done Tom, you deserve this honour and we’re all very proud of you.
                            Wednesday 23rd April
After a request from Crewe FC, we have rescheduled this Saturday’s match to this coming Friday at McLaren Street, kick off (according to the SCYL website) 6.25pm. Let’s hope we can get a good win and start clawing our way back up the table.
                            Sunday 20th April
With no game this weekend, other teams have been catching up their games in hand on us and, unfortunately, all the results have gone against us so far meaning we are now in 4th place in the league. As we still have games to play against those above us though, we still have plenty of chances to improve our position.
                            Saturday 12th April
A disappointing result today as we lost a game for the first time in three months 3-1 against Betley FC after winning 1-0 for the majority of the game. We stay in 2nd place in the table. Tom D was named man of the match for another great display in midfield.
                            Tuesday 8th April
I’m sorry to report that our fixtures have been altered yet again by the League. Saturday’s match against Betley will now take place at McLaren Street kick off 10.00am.
                            Monday 7th April
The League appear to have rearranged our final few fixtures. Please study the list on the fixtures page carefully. We now have matches on Saturday’s, Sunday’s, Monday’s and Thursday’s including one mad spell when we will have three matches in three days (this is also the start of SAT’s week so the boys will be VERY tired at the end of it all!). Our fixture this coming Saturday has also been altered, we’re now playing Betley at MMU Alsager, kick off 10.00am.
                            Sunday 6th April
We believe that Stapeley Corinthians won 2-1 against Tarporley today. If this is confirmed then they will overtake us at the top of the League on goal difference. There’s still a lot of games to play though, including against both them and Tarporley so anything could still happen!
                            Saturday 5th April
Unfortunately today’s match against AFC Redstar was postponed at the last minute after our arrival at MMU Alsager. It seems there had been some kind of mix-up and the League had failed to book a pitch and, as the pitches were all in use for some girl’s training, we had no option other than to call the game off. We did offer to play the game elsewhere just to get it played but AFC Redstar refused so we now have another game to fit in somewhere. We have emailed the League to try and confirm that our next fixture, on Saturday at MMU Crewe, has been properly organised.
                            Sunday 30th March
The boys got back to winning ways again today with a hard-fought 2-0 win against Stapeley. The win keeps us top of the table. Nathan was named man of the match for a superb display in defence.
Please check the fixture list carefully, we now have three Saturday matches listed, these seem to be replacing our Sunday fixtures for the next three weeks. Our next match is against AFC Redstar on Saturday at MMU Alsager kick off 12.00.
                            Thursday 27th March
Please note that there have been some fixtures rescheduled by the League. We now have two Saturday matches - on Saturday 5th April at MMU Alsager kick off 12.00 and Saturday 12th April at MMU Crewe kick off 11.00am. Both of these weekends we don’t have a Sunday game. Please click the fixture link on the left for full details.
                            Sunday 16th March
Another disappointing result today as we were held to a 2-2 draw by Mow Cop Hornets, their equaliser coming with the last kick of the game. Luckily some of the other results went our way so we are still top of the table. Captain Tom D was named man of the match for a great display in midfield.
                            Sunday 9th March
A slightly disappointing result today as we drew 2-2 with Wistaston United Lions although it could have been a lot worse as we were 2-0 down midway through the second half but the boys battled back to gain a draw and hang on to top position in the league. Lewis S in goal was named man of the match for some fine saves that kept us in the game.
                            Sunday 2nd March
Another fantastic result for the boys as we beat Wistaston United Cougars 3-0 to maintain our place on the top of the table, in fact we’ve pulled further ahead as one of the chasing pack slipped up with just a draw. A great all round team performance again and three separate goalscorers and another clean sheet. Nathan was named man of the match for another great performance and a nice goal.
                            Sunday 24th February
A great game today as the boys steamed to a 5-0 win over MG Juniors to keep us top of the table and keep the pressure up on the chasing pack. It was a great all round team performance, with some nice football played, every player can be proud of their performance. James was named man of the match for another superb display in defence and good all round performance.
                            Sunday 17th February
Disappointment for the boys today as our top of the table clash with Tarporley Wanderers was postponed at the last minute due to a frozen pitch. Unfortunately a decision on the match being played wasn’t made until everyone had arrived at the Barony. With the temperature having fallen to -6C overnight it did seem likely the pitch would be frozen but when we arrived the sun was shining so it was decided to wait 20 minutes to see if the pitch would defrost, unfortunately it didn’t, a large area was still white with frost and a large part of the remaining area was very hard. A couple of matches did take place at MMU Crewe but, as they didn’t involve any of the other teams chasing us, we remain top of the League.
                            Sunday 10th February
Yet another superb victory for the boys today as we beat Nantwich Town Diablos 2-0 to keep ourselves at the top of the table. The boys played really well as a team today so it was pleasing to get a good win. Man of the match was Tom J for another great game in defence.
Please note a game has now been rearranged for Sunday 24th February, which was originally a free weekend, we will now face MG Juniors at the Barony kick off 10am.
                            Sunday 3rd February
Another great win for the boys today as we did the double over Knights by winning 6-1, the win keeps us top of the table. Our six goals were from two hat-tricks one for Ally and one for Ben, great work by both of them but our man of the match was Nathan for a really good game in midfield. We’re at the Barony again next weekend with a match against Nantwich Town Diablos.
                            Sunday 27th January
A great win for the boys today as they beat Knights 4-2 to go back top of the league. It was a hard fought game and the scoreline may flatter us slightly but it still gives us an important three points. It was a good all-round team performance but Ben was named man of the match for a superb display in midfield including two fantastic goals. Knights have chance to get their revenge very quickly though as we face them at the Barony next weekend.
                            Monday 21st January
*Fixture Change* Please note that we now have a fixture rearranged for this coming Sunday, 27th January, away at MMU Alsager against Knights kick off at 11.00am. Let’s hope the rain keeps off enough for the match to take place, especially as we have a chance to regain top spot in the League as the three teams above us are all due to be in Cup action.
                            Friday 18th January
*URGENT* Our game this Sunday 20th away at MMU Alsager v Knights has been postponed, yet again because of a waterlogged pitch (all other games in our division have also been called off). We currently are not scheduled to have a match next weekend (27th) but please watch this space in case any of our postponed matches are rearranged.
                            Saturday 12th January
*URGENT*   Please note that tomorrow’s match against Crewe FC has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. We don’t know yet when the game will be rescheduled but we now have a free day tomorrow. Our next game will be in a week’s time away at Knights who play at MMU Alsager.
                            Sunday 6th January
Not a good start to the new year today as the boys went down 4-0 to Stapeley Corinthians and therefore relinquished our spot on the top of the table. The scoreline was flattering to Stapeley but we have to hope we can bounce back quickly as we have another top-of-the-table clash next Sunday with the new leaders Crewe FC. TJ was man of the match after another good game in defence.
                            Tuesday 1st January
Happy New Year to everyone at Brookfield Rangers. A reminder that the Soccer Centre is unavailable for training tomorrow. We shall, therefore, be training at the Cumberland Sports Ground from 5.30-6.30pm. Please try and come along as we have an important top-of-the-table clash with Stapeley Corinthians this Sunday.
                            Tuesday 25th December
Warm Christmas wishes to all connected with Brookfield Rangers.
                            Sunday 16th December
After last week’s enforced break due to the bad weather we kept up our winning form with a great 2-0 win against AFC Redstar today, meaning we will be top of the table going into the New Year. What a superb end to the year for all our players who have worked so hard this season, let’s hope we can keep it up for the second half of the season. Lewis S in goal was our man of the match today after several great saves.
We also have news of a new signing, as we need to start increasing our squad ready for next season when we will be playing 11-a-side. Eddie has agreed to join us from Stapeley Corinthians. Welcome to Brookfield, we hope you will be very happy playing with us Eddie.
                            Thursday 6th December
**URGENT** At this evening’s managers meeting it was announced that all games in the South Cheshire Youth League this coming Sunday, 8th December, have been postponed (except those at the Soccer Centre) due to waterlogging and the continued wet weather so our boys will have a rest this weekend so we remain top of the league for another week!
                            Sunday 1st December
A superb win for the boys today as we beat Betley 2-1 to soar back to the top of the table, one point ahead of Crewe FC. An end to end game today saw us power ahead 2-0 before we allowed Betley to come back into the game but we hung on for a vital win. Ben was named man of the match for a superb display in midfield. Next Sunday it’s a top v bottom clash as we take on MG Juniors but we know they’ll be keen to trip us up so we’ll have to be on our best form but, for now, we can enjoy another week on top of the table!
                            Sunday 25th November
We were in cup action today but sadly lost 2-1 against Stapeley FC meaning our cup interest is short lived, though of course we can now concentrate on the League! Lewis S in goal was named as man of the match for a string of fine saves that kept us in the match, well done Lewis. Next Sunday we are back in League action again, playing Betley.
                            Sunday 18th November
Our brilliant run continued today with another superb win, this time over Alsager Panthers 4-1 away at Alsager including a brilliant hat-trick by Ally. The result keeps the pressure up on Stapeley Corinthians who are still top with us one point behind in 2nd place. Tom D was voted man of the match for a great performance keeping the team going as captain. Next week we have a break from league action when we take on Stapeley FC in the cup at MMU Crewe.
                            Sunday 11th November
We didn’t have a game today so, after the other team’s have played, we are now in second position. Next Sunday we are away at Alsager Panthers who play at MMU Alsager, a new ground for us. Please all meet in the car park at the Plough, Alsager at 10.20am.
                            Sunday 4th November
WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!
A thrilling victory today, as we grabbed a winner in injury time to beat Cheshire Blades 2-1, to soar to the top of the table. All the other results went our way so now we’re two points clear at the top. What a fantastic achievement for our boys, a  real credit to their determination to succeed and each one of them should be proud of their contribution. Tom J was named man of the match for a resolute performance in defence. We don’t have a game next weekend so will have to hope that other results continue to go our way so that we can retain our position at the TOP OF THE LEAGUE!
Here’s the table preserved for posterity!

                            Sunday 21st October
A fantastic win for the boys today as they beat the current league leaders, Stapeley FC, 3-1. Stapeley had a 100% record before the match and tested us to the limit but we rose to the challenge magnificently, a superb performance by every boy in what was probably one of our best-ever victories. It was hard to pick out a man of the match but Lewis S, our goalie, took the trophy for a brilliant performance keeping Stapeley out especially in the first ten minutes when we were under a lot of pressure.
Please note that the cup game, coincidentally against Stapeley FC, will now take place on Sunday 25th November at MMU Crewe kick off midday.
                            Sunday 14th October
Another thrilling win today as the boys soared to a 4-1 win against Mow Cop Hornets after another superb team performance, it’s great to see the boy’s hard work finally paying off with a good win. Sunday 7th October
A thrilling match today saw us run out 3-2 winners against Wistaston Utd Lions after coming from behind. A great performance by all the boys. Man of the match was James for his good running, team effort and some superb tackles.

Another disappointing result today as we went down 2-0 to Wistaston United Cougars. However, the match was very even and we were unlucky to lose so hopefully next week this will be translated into a better result. Tom J was voted as Man of the Match for some great work in defence and some superb clearances.

After last week’s stunning victory, it was back down to earth for the boys with a 5-0 defeat today to Tarporley Wanderers, we shall have to hope for better things next weekend when we meet Wistaston United Cougars who have yet to win. Today’s defeat leaves us 6th in the table. Man of the match was Tom D for another good display in midfield.
                            Sunday 16th September
A brilliant result today as we soared to a 6-1 win over Nantwich Town Diablos, Ally getting four goals and Ben two. A superb all-round team performance and a memorable way to start off our first season in the South Cheshire Youth League, let’s hope for more of the same next week when we are up against Tarporley Wanderers. It was hard to pick one player out as man of the match, as everyone played their part, but Ben was rewarded for his tireless running and fantastic attacking play.
