This was the news as reported during the Winter 06/07 season:
                            Sunday 28th January
The winter season ended with more disappointment as the boys lost their final game 3-0 against Alsager Town Black. It was the same story as most of the other games this season - we didn’t manage to convert our chances whilst the other team did. Man of the match was Lewis C who had a great game in defence. Afterwards, the boys went for a belated Christmas Party at the tenpin bowling and then for a pizza afterwards which was a good end to an otherwise pretty forgettable season.
                            Sunday 21st January
We didn’t have a game today as our scheduled opponents, Holmes Chapel, have disbanded so we have been awarded a 1-0 win. Shame the win’s don’t come as easily as this every week! We’re back to League action next weekend however for the last match of the Winter season.
                            Sunday 14th January
Further disappointment today as the team lost 5-0 to the current League leaders Bocca Juniors. The boys tried hard and kept the score at 0-0 for a long period but couldn’t hold out for the whole match. Lewis S in goal was named as the man of the match for some superb saves that helped keep us in the match for a long period.
                            Sunday 6th January
The New Year started off with more disappointment for the boys as we went down 5-1 today to Stapeley Instyle. Unfortunately one of their players had a great game otherwise the score might have been very different. Our man of the match was Tom D who had a great game in midfield. Next week we are playing Bocca Juniors so we have to hope we can spring a suprise against the runaway league leaders.
                            Monday 25th December
A very happy Christmas to everyone and good luck in the New Year (we’re due some luck surely!). A reminder that training will resume on Wednesday 3rd January.
                            Sunday 17th December
Our last game before the Christmas break and we went down to another defeat 2-0 at the hands of Crewe FC although again we played a lot better than the scoreline suggests. Man of the match was James who had a great match.
                            Sunday 10th December
A great performance today but the boys went down 3-2 today to Betley after having been in the lead, however the score did not reflect how well we played. The man of the match was Rhys for his great contribution throughout the match.
                            Sunday 3rd December
Another disappointing result today as the boys went down 5-1 to Nantwich Dynamoes although we did play better than the scoreline suggests. The scoreline would have been a lot closer if we’d put away some of our chances. Lewis S, our goalie, saved a penalty too and was given the man of the match award for this and several fine saves, well done Lewis.
                            Sunday 26th November
Better news today as the boys held on for a 1-1 draw in the bottom of the table clash with Wistaston Lions. The team played much better today and all credit to them for turning things around after the recent spell of heavy defeats. Man of the match was Tom D for a superb game all over the pitch.
                            Sunday 19th November
Today’s match is probably best forgotten, after being level 1-1 at the end of the first period, the boys slumped to our heaviest defeat of the season - 7-1 to Alsager Town Panthers, lets hope the boys put this defeat behind them and bounce back next weekend against Wistaston Lions. Man of the match was Ally for his superb goal.
                            Sunday 12th November
Unfortunately there was another poor result for the boys today as they slumped to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Alsager Town Black. We have now played all the teams so we need to hope for a turnaround in our fortunes as we enter the second half of the season. Man of the Match was Tom J for a good performance in defence, well done Tom.
Dates have been announced for this year’s Christmas break. The last match before Christmas will be on Sunday 17th December. Matches resume on Sunday 7th January.
                            Sunday 5th November
No game for the boys today as Holmes Chapel have disbanded and we were awarded a 1-0 win. So our losing streak has been broken, lets hope we can break it for real next weekend on the pitch.
                            Sunday 29th October
Another disappointing result for the boys today as we lost 6-1 to the unbeaten leaders Bocca Juniors. We actually played a lot better than the scoreline suggests but good luck was again not on our side. Ben was named man of the match for trying hard the whole match. A reminder that there’s no game next week as Holmes Chapel have disbanded so our losing streak will come to an end (the game will be awarded as a 1-0 win to us!).
                            Sunday 22nd October
Another disappointing result today as we went down 4-0 to Stapeley Instyle. We were unfortunate to quickly go behind to an unlucky own-goal and a goal from a free kick and the boys never managed to get themselves back into the game. Declan was named as man of the match for a spirited performance in defence, well done Declan. Next week we’ll have another hard test as we face the leaders Bocca Juniors who currently have a 100% record, kick off is at the later time of 15.40.
                            Sunday 15th October
There was another disappointing result for us today as we went down 3-1 to Crewe FC. We played quite well as a team again but just didn’t have the luck up front when it mattered. Man of the match was Ben who scored a great goal and had another super shot hit the bar.
It seems that Holmes Chapel may have disbanded, we are still waiting for official confirmation of this but Bocca’s game today was postponed. If this is the case then we’ll have a free weekend at some point as we haven’t yet played them.
                            Sunday 8th October
More disappointment today as we went down 2-1 to Betley FC, however the team played much better than last week and we went very near to an equaliser several times though it just wasn’t to be. Man of the match was Rhys for another great game, let’s hope for better luck next weekend when we play Crewe FC at 2pm.
                            Sunday 1st October
A disappointing result today as we went down 4-0 to Nantwich Dynamoes, a pretty comprehensive way to lose our unbeaten start to the season but I’m sure the boys will come back fighting next week when we take on Betley (kick off 2pm). Man of the Match today was Lewis C who tried hard for the whole game, well done Lewis.
                            Sunday 24th September
A great win for the team today as we beat Wistaston Lions 1-0 with a late goal from Ally after an end to end game, so we remain unbeaten. All the team played well but Tom D was named man of the match for his energetic contribution, chasing after every ball. Next week we play Nantwich Dynamoes at the earlier kick off time of 13.05 so let’s hope our unbeaten run continues.
                            Sunday 17th September
We played our first league match of the new season this afternoon and came away with a very creditable 2-2 draw, with two superb goals by Ally. Our goalie, Lewis S was named man of the match for some brilliant saves that kept us in the match, well done Lewis. After the game we signed on our two triallist’s, Declan and Thomas, we hope you both enjoy playing as part of our team. It was Max’s last ever game for us as he moves away with his family to Australia shortly, best of luck Max, we’ll miss you and hope you keep in touch.
                            Thursday 14th September
My apologies for the lack of updates recently, I was taking my summer holidays! However the site is now all updated and ready for the start of the new season.

Our game on Sunday kicks off at 2pm - please meet at the Soccer Centre at 1.30pm. This game is likely to be Max’s last game before he emigrates to Australia so let’s make sure we help him go out in style with a good win!
                            Sunday 10th September
Due to a late reorganisation at the Soccer Centre, we were delighted to find out that we have been promoted to Division 1 for the new season. Consequently today’s fixture against Betley went ahead but only as a friendly, the real league action starts next Sunday!
We have two players currently on trial with us - Declan and Thomas - and both made their debuts for us in today’s game. Unfortunately we went down to a 4-1 defeat but hopefully some lessons have been learnt and we will do better when the new season starts properly. Thomas was named as Man of the Match, well done Thomas, that’s not bad in your first game for us!
                            Wednesday 26th July
Our first game of the new season was played today a friendly at the Soccer Centre against Wistaston. We ended up 3-1 winners, so a brilliant start, well done to Ben who got all three of our goals. We were also delighted to welcome a new player to our team - James - we hope you enjoy playing as part of our team James.
